Clayton, Iowa - A Small Town, Riverfront Stay!
The property is located directly on the Mississippi River, just off of the iconic Great River Road.
The small town atmosphere provides guests a quiet escape year round. However, the town comes to life during the summer with boating season, fishing, nature parks, and local events all attracting travelers to visit the area.
Although you will likely spend most of your time outside, the property does offer guests free wifi as well as tv with streaming capabilities and a few local channels.

TWO RESTAURANTS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE
Directly outside the Claytonian’s front steps, is the Clayton Lighthouse. The Lighthouse provides its guests with a quiet and relaxed dining experience, offering evening dinner specials. They also have a gas dock to provide boaters convenient access to fuel and ice.
Across the train tracks, is Bill's Boat Landing. Bill’s offers a full bar and menu, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is a more casual dining experience, with seating offered both inside at the bar and in the dining room, as well as outside on their patio.
Both businesses occasionally offer live music and most importantly, are outfitted with large windows overlooking their amazing views of the Mississippi River.
